1. Who we are
We operate an online marketplace that connects customers with professional car rental companies in Morocco. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use our website and services. We process personal data in accordance with Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, under the supervision of the CNDP.
2. Data we collect
We collect the information you provide when you create an account or make a booking: name, email address, phone number, driver details, and payment confirmation data. For identity verification (KYC) we collect copies of your driving licence and ID document. We also collect technical data such as IP address, device information and usage statistics when you browse the site.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to: process and manage your bookings; verify your identity and driving eligibility; share necessary booking details with the rental company you book with; process payments and security deposits; provide customer support; prevent fraud; and, with your consent, send you offers and service updates.
4. Sharing with rental companies
When you make a booking we share with the selected rental company the information needed to perform the rental contract: your name, contact details, driver licence information, booking dates and condition-report photos. Rental companies act as independent data controllers for the rental contract itself.
5. Payment data
Online payments are processed by our certified payment partner (CMI). We never store your full card number or CVV on our servers; we only retain a payment reference and the status of the transaction.
6. Data retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Booking and invoicing records are retained for 10 years to comply with Moroccan accounting and tax obligations. KYC documents are deleted no later than 2 years after your last completed rental, unless a dispute is ongoing. You may request earlier deletion where the law allows.
7. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, hashed passwords and regular security reviews. Uploaded documents are stored on access-restricted storage and are only visible to you and to authorised verification staff.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your search preferences, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to book.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing, in accordance with Law 09-08. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@ourdomain.ma. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
