Taghazout sits about 20 km north of Agadir on the coast road, with Tamraght and Aourir just before it. There is no rental counter in the village, so we bring the car to you: your surf camp, guesthouse or apartment in Taghazout, Tamraght or Taghazout Bay.
You can also collect the car at Agadir Al Massira Airport when you land and drive up yourself. The road is simple and takes about 50 minutes from the airport.

Why have a car in Taghazout
The surf spots are spread along 20 km of coast. With a car you choose the break that is working that morning instead of the one you can walk to: Anchor Point and Hash Point by the village, Devil’s Rock and Banana Beach towards Tamraght, Imsouane an hour and a half north.
It also opens the days when the swell is flat. Paradise Valley is about 40 minutes inland, Agadir’s souk and marina are half an hour south, and Essaouira is a comfortable day trip up the coast.
Boards, parking and practical points
Tell us if you are travelling with surfboards so we can suggest a car with enough room. Parking inside the old village is tight; most visitors leave the car at the edge of the village or at their accommodation.
You need a valid licence held for at least one year and a passport or identity card. Each rental includes 250 km per day, and fuel is at your expense.
